LESSONS SECTION - UNDER DEVELOPMENT - 3 APR 2016
Learn to Sail with CGRA
Columbia Gorge Racing Association has been hosting world class
sailing events since 1996 and has been training sailors, from beginners to
Olympians, since 2004. The stretch of river from Stevenson to Cascade Locks is
an ideal small boat training ground, away from the crowds, with flatter water
and less wind than the central Gorge. All sailing activities meet at the swim
beach in Cascade Locks Marine Park.
CGRA's Learn to Sail program features a
variety of fun learning and recreational opportunities for beginner through
advanced sailors. All classes are taught by
US Sailing certified instructors in
CGRA's fleet of O'pen BIC dinghies, Lasers and RS Fevas. We offer a variety of
fun learning and recreational opportunities including
Beginner through Advanced
Lessons, professionally coached
Sailing Clinics and
Community Sailing & Potluck.
Additional fun offerings this summer may include a Ladies Night,
SUP and US
Sailing Reach, a STEM based program, utilizing sailing as a platform to explore
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Registration for all classes is online. To register, click on the
link below the course description for the class you wish to enroll in. For
more information or assistance, contact Dierk Polzin: lessons@cgra.org.
