2008 International Moth
US National Championships
August 15-17, 2008
The Columbia Gorge Racing Association is pleased to welcome the
International Moth Class to
the Columbia River Gorge for the 2008 US National Championships. This
venue, prized for big breeze and flat water, is the proposed site of the 2009
International Moth World Championships. For official information about

Eligibility
The regatta is open to any sailor
who is a current paid member of any International Moth Class Association. All
boats competing shall have a valid ISAF plaque and ensure that their boat has
been officially measured per class rules. The regatta is designated Category C
in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20. Venue
The Columbia River Gorge at Cascade Locks, Oregon
Regatta Format
There will be a maximum of 15 races,
of which 3 shall be required to constitute a series. If more than 4 races are
completed, there shall be 1 discard; if more than 8 races, then 2 discards.
Courses will be primarily windward-leeward, with a provision for some “P”
courses and slalom races. Courses and slalom format will be fully described in
the Sailing Instructions, and course diagrams will be provided at registration.

Visitor Information
Cascade Locks is located in the
heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, 45 minutes east of Portland
International Airport on Interstate 84. Cascade Locks and surrounding
communities have a wide range of accommodations from camping to four-star resort
hotels (see visitor information).
