2008 CGRA Opening Day

Cascade Locks Marine Park
Come on out to the Marine Park next Saturday and join the CGRA team for a
fun day of sailing activities, informal races, and barbeque. Meet some new
friends and find out what CGRA is doing to bring world class sailing to the
Gorge! Look for us on the beach just east of the
marina (see map).
Sailboat Rides
Let's go sailing! Experienced skippers will be on
hand to give rides to the whole family (no experience needed!). It's a great
opportunity for the kids to try out a sturdy Optimist Pram or test drive one of
our cool new O'pen Bic dinghies.
Regatta
We'll be holding some informal races open to all
comers. This one's just for fun, a great chance to tune up for the big season
ahead!
BBQ Lunch
We'll fire up the BBQ at 11 am and go until the
food runs out. Everyone is welcome to join in the free lunch and learn about the
CGRA youth sailing program and performance sailboat racing events.

Cascade Locks is located in the
heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, 45 minutes east of Portland
International Airport on Interstate 84. Cascade Locks and surrounding
communities have a wide range of accommodations from camping to four-star resort
