Gorge Racing Association are pleased to welcome Opti sailors and their families
to the Columbia River Gorge for the 2010 USODA Optimist Dinghy Pacific Coast
Championships. If you've never been to the Gorge you are in for a treat!

Opti sailors looking for a chance to tune up for the PCCs should consider coming
to the Gorge a few days early for the Ripple
Optimist Performance Clinic, August 10-12. It's a great opportunity to train
with world-class Opti coaches and sharpen up your boat speed, boat handling,
tactics and strategy for the big regatta. Mark your calendars now for a fun and exciting "Opti Week" in
the Gorge next August!
Eligibility
The regatta is open to members of
the US Optimist Dinghy Association who were born on or after January 1, 1995.
The championship fleet shall be divided into Red, Blue, and White fleets
according to competitor's age on the first day of the regatta. There will also
be a Green fleet, racing on a separate course.
Venue
Racing will take place on the
Columbia River adjacent to the Cascade Locks, OR, Marine Park. There will be
separate courses for the Championship Fleet and the Green Fleet.
Registration & Fees
Registration:
To enter this regatta, you must be a current member of USODA and register
online through the Members Only section of the
USODA website. All
registration materials, including entry fees and waiver forms, must be completed
no later than August 13, 2010.
Entry fee: $80 for entries received on or before
August 1. Includes refreshments after racing each race day, a barbecue dinner on
Saturday night and a regatta T-shirt. Late registration fees: $25 after August 1; $40 after August 8.
Visitor Information
Cascade Locks is located in the
heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, 45 minutes east of Portland
International Airport on Interstate 84. Cascade Locks and surrounding
communities have a wide range of accommodations from camping to four-star resort
hotels (see visitor information).
