Moth Madness! 

July 16-18, 2010

The Columbia Gorge Racing Association is pleased to welcome the International Moth Class back to the Columbia River Gorge for the 2010 Moth Madness Regatta. This venue, site of the 2009 International Moth World Championships and famous for big winds, promises to provide a spectacular experience for both racers and viewers. For official  information about the regatta, please see the Notice of Race.

Eligibility

The regatta is open to all sailors of the International Moth Class. All boats competing shall have a valid ISAF plaque and ensure that their boat has been officially measured per class rules.

The Columbia River Gorge at Cascade Locks, Oregon

Regatta Format

There will be a maximum of 15 races, of which 3 shall be required to constitute a series. If more than 5 races are completed, there shall be 1 discard; if more than 9 races, then 2 discards. Courses will be primarily windward-leeward and triangle. Courses will be fully described in the Sailing Instructions, and course diagrams will be provided at registration.

Registration & Fees

Entry fee:  $95 ($5 discount for US SAILING members). Includes refreshments after racing each race day, barbecue dinner Saturday night, and a regatta souvenir.

Visitor Information

Cascade Locks is located in the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, 45 minutes east of Portland International Airport on Interstate 84. Cascade Locks and surrounding communities have a wide range of accommodations from camping to four-star resort hotels (see Visitor Information).
