Thursday Night Community Sailing
Again this summer CGRA will host Community Sailing & Potluck on Thursday evenings at the Cascade Locks Marine Park beach. This is a great time to stop down and try out sailing. We offer short rides to new sailors.
Our goal is to provide open supervised sailing opportunities to the Gorge community utilizing private and CGRA sailboats. New sailors and families are welcome.
Sailing school students will be able to hone their skills and community members interested in sailing are invited to join us to sail in the CGRA Lasers, BICs, and RS Fevas under the supervision of a Safety Boat and shore support.
CGRA Community Sailing program continues to grow thanks to our partnerships with the City and Port of Cascade Locks, and to the valuable contributions of all the folks who generously donate their time, talent and financial support. Thanks to you, more than 200 kids have been introduced to sailing through our Learn-to-Sail program!
After all equipment has been stowed, join us for burgers and a community supported potluck. All participants must be at least 8 years old and be registered with a signed waiver* prior to sailing. A small registration fee is requested to cover insurance. You can register onsite or via the Hood River Registration system.
